Low-level Navigation

Doing some experiments with low level navigation and getting a feel for way points at low altitude. This drone is an eagle shaped aircraft for unobtrusive mapping applications. Here is a Google Earth image, showing the flight path in green and the way points in grey. While it generally tracks well, I need to space my turns a little wider for better tracking, or tune the autopilot for a closer intercept, although, in this application, it would appear unnatural for the eagle.

As you can see, the drone was able to accurately and safely fly at very low level, close to the shoreline, then climb to avoid the trees along the bank and safely navigate back to the starting location.
